Virgin Mobile products, including the
Vox 8500 flip-phone, and accessories, are now available at Sprint Stores.
"The national roll out of Virgin Mobile in Sprint's retail network exemplifies the depth of our partnership," said Howard Handler, Virgin Mobile USA chief marketing officer. "Not only does this broaden Virgin Mobile's distribution, but it also broadens Sprint's customer base."
Virgin Mobile USA offers a simple Pay As You Go pricing plan; 25 cents per minute for the first ten minutes of each day, and then 10 cents for every minute thereafter. There are no contracts to sign, no monthly bills and no hidden fees. Only Virgin Mobile phones come equipped with a full suite of youth-relevant content known as
VirginXtras.
VirginXtras include the Rescue Ring (which lets users pre-set their phone to get out of a sticky situation), the Hit List (which lets users listen to and vote on brand new music), a huge library of
ringtones, games and much more. Virgin Mobile users also have access to exclusive content from *MTV and vh1 2 go, including Txt2TRL (which allows users to send text messages right to TRL), MTV News Alerts, Video Clash (which lets users votes on videos they think deserve air time) and more.
